The road to repairs

East Renfrewshire council has been criticised for having an underspend in its pot hole repair budget.

Conservative West of Scotland MSP Jackson Carlaw has said the cash should have been spent improving the areas roads.

Following an FoI request, Mr Carlaw asserted found ERC had and underspend of £401,000.

The Scottish Conservatives deputy leader said: “It’s time to end this slap-dash approach to repairs.

“Thousands upon thousands of road users are understandably angry and fed up with west of Scotland’s roads.”
