Tortoise and hare team gear up for charity feat

Shawlands father and son Grant and Antony are on the fundraising trail ahead of a mammoth charity challenge.

The duo will be cycling 300 miles over four days, from London to Paris, in July - a feat in memory of friends and family who lost their battles with cancer, and to thakn Macmillan Cancer Support.

Grant (50), watch manager at Clarkston Fire Station, told The Extra: “Antony will be 18 in August and this for me just adds to the challenge — a father and son/tortoise and hare story.”
