Town centre improvements driving forward with latest development

The latest phase of ambitious plans to transform Kirkintilloch town centre get underway today (Thursday) with changes to a car park.

The existing entrance to Barlaybank car park, on Cowgate, will be closed and the recently constructed junction on New Lairdsland Road will be opened to motorists.

It’s part of a series of plans to see car parking improved for both residents and visitors to Kirkintilloch town centre.

Following an extensive consultation process with local groups and residents, a series of improvements are being made - centred around a restored Kirkintilloch Town Hall.

An information session is being held at William Patrick Library on Thursday, July 25, from 2pm-8pm for people to learn more about the strategy for regeneration in the town centre.
