Police had to hold up traffic on the M8, after an animal got onto the carriageway.

The incident, which happened earlier this evening, led to the police stopping traffic on both sides of the motorway, near Junction 14 at Blochairn.

Traffic Scotland has now confirmed that the road has re-opened.

It posted: “The carriageway is now clear and all lanes are running at Junction 14.”
