Train station project volunteers to take a well-earned break

A scheme which has transformed a disused project into a valuable community asset is set to be temporarily scaled down over the winter months.

During November, December, January and February the Milton of Campsie Railway Station Restoration Project organisers will not be having their usual large scale ‘Improvement Days’ on the first Saturday of the month.

Their next major volunteer day will be the first Saturday in March 2016, from 10am - 1pm.

A spokesperson said: “Over the winter months ‘improvers’ are asked to visit the station at any time that suits them and make any relevant improvements that they feel necessary.”

The spokesperson added:“There will be a series of regular mini ‘Improvement Days’ scheduled where people will be encouraged to join fellow improvers and make improvements.

“The best way to keep up to date if you’d like to join fellow improvers is by liking the face book page.”
