Road closures in Busby and Eaglesham

A street in Busby and another in Eaglesham are being closed to traffic this week to allow for maintenance work to be carried out.

A section of the B759 Carmunnock Road is closed to allow essential tree and verge maintenance work to be carried out at the side of the road.

An alternative route is via the A727 East Kilbride Road, the B766 Carmunnock By-pass and then the B759 Busby Road.

Meanwhile, a section of Holehouse Road in Eaglesham is closed to allow resurfacing work to be carried out.

And alternative route is via Gilmour Street, Cheapside Street, the B764 Eaglesham Road and then Peel Road.

Both closures are scheduled to run from today (Monday, August 12) until Friday, August 16, although the roads may be re-opened earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.

Pedestrian access is unaffected at both locations.
