Temporary road closures for Cumbernauld

A number of roads around Cumbernauld are to close temporarily to allow roadworks to be undertaken.

Turnberry Gardens will be closed from 9am to 6pm on Friday, May 11 to allow for carriageway patching works.

The road will be closed to all vehicles except works taffic.

Residential access will be permitted, where practical, and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Banton Road, Banton, will be closed from a point 250m north of the junction with A803 Stirling Road for 100m. The road will close from 8.30am on Monday, May 14 to 5pm on Tuesday, May 15 to allow for verge works to be completed.

Vehicles will be diverted via Banton Road, A803 Stirling Road, Kelvinhead Road, Main Street, Mil Road and Banton Road.

King’s Drive in the town from 16m south of its junction with Queen’s Drive for 40 metres, will close from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Wednesday, May 16.

The closure will allow for ironwork replacement.

Vehicles should proceed via King’s Drive, Dullatur Road, Queen’s Drive and King’s Drive where the diversion ends.

Meanwhile, The Auld Road will close from 8am to 6pm on Friday, May 18, from a point 70m from Baronhill to its termination.

The closure will allow carriageay patching works at manhole and no.12 The Auld Road to take place.

The road will be closed to all vehicles except works traffic. Residential access wil be permitted, where practical,
