Use of Lanark bus stance by taxis IS illegal

TAXI drivers continuing to use Lanark Bus Stance as an unofficial ‘rank’ ARE committing an offence.

The police and council have confirmed this to the Gazette after several readers contacted us, expressing outrage that the practice was still ongoing despite assurances of a crackdown following the death of a pedestrian, knocked down by a taxi at the Stance last year.
