Craig, the author of five murder mysteries set in Glasgow (Random, Snapshot, Cold Grave, Witness The Dead and In Place of Death) - and a sixth, The Last Refuge, in which the action is based on the Faroe Islands - visited libraries across Scotland during the week from November 23-29, giving talks in Ayr, Newton Mearns, Rothesay and Larbert.

In the video above Craig - a director of the ‘Bloody Scotland’ international crime writing festival - explains how he turned from journalism to writing fiction, and sheds a little light on where he gets his inspiration for the stories which have made him one of Scotland’s most popular crime authors.
