The store on Fenwick Road felt that they could do their part by getting involvedand supporting a local organisation.

Jackie Bradshaw, Virgin Money Giffnock Store Manager said: “We are collecting selection boxes on behalf of Cosgrove Care. They play such an important part in our local community and do a lot of untold good for children who really need it.

“It doesn’t matter whether you are a Virgin Money customer or not, you can help to make a difference this Christmas by popping into the store and donating a selection box.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone in advance who comes along and makes a donation, we are extremely grateful and you could really help to make a difference this Christmas to a child who really needs it.”

Cosgrove Care is a charity that specialises in providing personalised support and care services for children and adults who have learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, and mental health issues living in and around Glasgow and East Renfrewshire.

The charity’s Child Services Manager, Liz Grant told us: “We are so grateful that Virgin Money staff and customers are supporting us and thinking of our children at this busy time of year.

“It’s just fantastic to see the children’s faces light up when they receive a selection box, particularly when parents may be struggling to cope. We really do want to thank everyone involved for their kindness and generosity.”
