Volunteers needed for Giffnock cat group

CALLING all cat lovers – the Cats Protection Giffnock branch is on the lookout for volunteers.

There are a number of volunteering opportunities available, and the East Ren organisation would like to hear from anyone interested in lending a hand.

The branch does not operate from a main centre, so short-term cat and kitten fosterers are needed to look after sheltered animals until a permanent home can be found for them.

The branch provides all food, litter, toys, scratch posts and covers vet bills – all that’s needed from the fosterer is time to care for a cat, and own transport.

Home visitors are also needed for Giffnock and the surrounding areas. Volunteers undertaking the job will establish what type of cat would settle best in a particular home.

Drivers are also needed, as well as fundraisers, who would work with the fundraising officer to bring in vital funds for the group.

Anyone interested in volunteering can find out more by visiting the Cats Protection Giffnock site and filling in their details.
