VOSCARS to return after five year absence

For the first time in five years Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire (VANL) is holding '˜The VOSCARS on Tuesday, November 1, in Motherwell Concert Hall.

The event will reward those who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to supporting communities and the voluntary sector in North Lanarkshire across 13 categories.

Craig Russell of VANL said: “The VOSCARS 2016 will take place five years on from the original North Lanarkshire VOSCARS ceremony, which was organised to mark the European Year of Volunteering 2011.

“The previous staging proved a huge success, attracting widespread interest and we are confident this year’s ceremony can be even bigger and better than before.”

The closing date for nominations is Friday, September 16 and all the winners will be chosen by an independent judging panel.
