Were these birds ‘abduckted’? Police investigate

Both domestic Indian Runner ducks vanished from a garden at Kilsyth Road overnight on Tuesday, August 4.

This morning, a police spokesman at Kirkintilloch said there had been no signs of foul play but put out an appeal for information.

He added: “They may have ducked under the fence and wandered off on their own.”

Indian Runners are an unusual breed of domestic duck.

They stand erect like penguins and, rather than waddling, they run.

Anyone who has spotted the ducks is asked to call police on 101.
