What’s in this week’s Gazette

Our front page lead is the closure of the New Beginnings furniture project, which has been hit by a massive drop in donations.

But elsewhere in the paper we have a piece about the same charity’s annual Christmas appeal which, fingers crossed, will have the same massive response as in the past.

As the festive season gets underway we have plenty of photos - with Lanark Panto Club, Biggar Theatre Workshop and Kirkton Players all taking to the stage, Carluke and Law switching on their festive lights, and Lanark re-running part of its Lanimer procession in darkest December!

Things seem to be improving at the Lanark Doctors Practice as the new appointment system settles in, and concern grows about the future of the Clydesdale Hotel in Lanark.

All this plus all your local news, sport and letters, in your Gazette, out in the shops early tomorrow.
