In Lanark urgent calls have been made for new safety measures at an accident blackspot following yet another incident there while in Carluke well kent charity fundraiser Les Hoey is urging Clydesdale locals to raise funds to make children’s dreams come true after his DreamMaker Foundation opened its main office in the town.

The multi-million pound plan to convert Lesmahagow’s derelict Birkwood Hospital and grounds into a holiday complex and housing development took a step closer to reality this week and we have the full story while there was joy and relief in Carstairs Junction as villagers learned that their homes would NOT be demolished.

Meanwhile over in Biggar, residents living near a proposed pub, restaurant and micro-brewery have reacted angrily to the transformation of the former Moat Park Church plus we have all the build-up to Biggar Little Festival which begins later this week.
