Year of roadworks ahead for Clarkston

The road will be closed to the public from its junction at Eastwoodmains Road from March 23 until November 2, with only pedestrian access allowed.

The park and ride facility based there is now closed, with a replacement space made available via Drumby Drive.

But road users face up to 32 weeks of restrictions - as an East Renfrewshire Council spokeswoman said, “to enable the safe movements of construction plant and machinery into and out of the site”.

Diversions will be in place throughout.
