The nine-year-old was chosen from hundreds of young Scottish hopefuls that entered the LMI Children’s Modelling Agency catwalk show to win the coveted Glasgow Walk Off title recently.
Boys and girls from baby to teens were placed into three rounds, including an eco round where contestants made and wore their own costumes made from 100 per cent recyclable materials.
Entrants were then judged and awarded points by a celebrity panel that included footballer Dominic Thomas, ITV’s Love Island winner Katie Salmon, swimwear model and blogger Jade Ainsworth and Big Brother’s Derry Menzah.
Each child within the LMI modeling competition was encouraged to actively raise funds for charity which this year was The John O’Byrne Foundation at Glasgow Sick Kids Hospital. The Foundation will be presented with a cheque for £7,000 which is the collective total raised by the children and their families.
Cadey’s self-made eco outfit was made from McDonald’s food and drinks containers and wowed the judges winning her the crown of Glasgow Walk Off princess - scooping the £1,000 prize.
As well as the kids catwalk show, guests at the LMI ceremony were treated to musical and dance performances from top Scottish talent including Gianna Coppini and Internet sensations Erin and Amber.
Amanda Percy, chairman of the LMI Glasgow group said: “Massive congratulations to Cadey. She was brilliant on the catwalk and I have no doubt this young lady will go on to do amazing things in the future.
“The judges were all agreed that although this was a close competition Cadey was a very worthwhile winner and we are all absolutely thrilled at the amount of money we have raised for the John O’Byrne Foundation. What a truly fantastic event this has been.”
