The rising young star hopes the dream gig in front of 12,500 people will help her secure a record deal.
And the gig all came about when the American singer spotted Katee on YouTube. Agents got in touch after she posted a cover of one of Seasick Steve’s tracks.
The talented young singer’s manger, dad Peter O’Neil said today (Monday): “Katee was over the moon when we got the call from Opium Arts Management to say Seasick Steve had seen her video of Purple Shadows and would like her to sing with him at Wembley arena in London.
“He also asked if she would sing the Steve Earle song My old friend the blues as he had seen her video of that on YouTube too”.
Katee will fly down on Friday morning to prepare for the big night and hopes she may soon be following in the footsteps of fellow Bishopbriggs singer Amy Macdonald who has sold millions of records worldwide.
Katee has been playing and singing professionally for three years now and is starting to make a name for herself.
On November 25 she will open for Scots singer Dougie MacLean at Cadder Church as part of theThomas Muir Festival.
She has also just recently been offered a year-long contract to host an open mic in the Clutha Bar in Glasgow.
