Andrew Love (4th), Harry Nimmo (8th) and Joe Lowrie (10th) claimed a fine team silver. In the u17 races, Sarah Eunson caught the eye with a hard-fought fifth, less than 24 hours after taking bronze for Hutcheson’s Grammar in the Scottish Secondary Schools Road Races in Falkirk.

The Senior Men’s 4k witnessed a high quality burn-up amongst international class contenders, with Giffnock’s Luke Traynor at the sharp end in fifth (12 minutes 22 seconds). With able support from Grant Muir, Kerrick Hesse, Jack Walker and Andrew Clark, Traynor lead Giffnock to a creditable fifth, and had Greg Turner not fallen heavily on a tight corner and had to retire, the result might have been even
better.
