Aileen (42) – who taught at Lesmahagow’s Bent Primary School for 16 years – took three years out from the job to train full-time for her Russian adventure which took place earlier this month.

“This is by far the biggest thing I have ever achieved in wheelchair curling,” said Aileen, the only female skip in all the competing nations.
