The revived Silver Bell, run at Hamilton since 2008, is now a firm fixture on the racing calendar and is part of Hamilton’s Super Six series.

The public will be hoping for a repeat of last year when several favourites triumphed in the six races leaving punters with cash in their pockets and the bookies licking their wounds.

And one man who will be hoping to continue his good form over the past few months is Keith Dalgleish.

Based at the Belstane yard in Carluke, Keith has firmly established himself as one of the top trainers in the country producing outstanding results on a weekly basis with over 50 winners already this year.

This included a hat-trick at Musselburgh Ladies Day in June and also won at Hamilton Park earlier in the season when George Rooke, ridden by Tom Eaves, won the Strathclyde Loch Handicap.

And with unbeaten Wee Frankie set to go in the feature race there is every chance the Silver Bell could be on its way to Belstane.
