There was a record turnout at the annual Bellahouston Road Runners President’s cup.

More than 60 runners from the south side club took part in the 5k handicap race, which was won by Lynne Goldie and Norman Boyle (pictured).

Trophies were presented by club president Brian O’Donnell, and organised by race director Henry Merriweather.

O’Donnell: “It’s terrific to see such a big midweek crowd from the club turn out for this fun event.”

The purple-vested club is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year and will be topping off the celebrations with a birthday party in Bellahouston park next month.
