Bishopbriggs and Lenzie rugby aces chosen for top squad

ALLAN Glen’s and Lenzie Rugby Clubs are proud to have their youth development programme recognised by the inclusion of six local boys in the final squad of the North Glasgow divisional team at U16 age grade.

Following a rigorous process of training and games the selection for the Glasgow North squad saw Aidan McMillan, Sean Lennon, Alasdair McConnell, Adam Linn and Martin Carvalho from Allan Glens and Peter Burns from Lenzie survive several bouts of selection to participate in the series of games against Glasgow South, Ayrshire and Lanarkshire squads.

The round robin festivals took place over two weekends and the boys all performed well in this quality games environment and shall benefit from the experience, irrespective of how many now progress to the next level of selection.
