’Gow lost 1-0 in their Scottish Cup fifth round tie at Yoker last Saturday to crash out of the tournament and leave their players, management team and travelling supporters devastated.

Gutted ’Gow manager Robert Irving said: “After the game it was the lowest I’d ever seen many of the players sitting in the dressing room. They played very well and the worst they deserved was a draw, so they were all very disappointed at losing.

“But our management team told them that it was not the end of the world.

“When we go into the big competitions next year, hopefully our players will remember how low they felt after losing to Yoker and that should help them do bigger and better things in the new campaign.”
