Carluke Golf Club members club together charity cash

MEMBERS of Carluke Golf Club have handed over a bumper cheque to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The cheque for £1000 was handed over on Thursday afternoon with the money being raised thanks to a Millionaires Quiz night and the seniors section annual dinner.

Tom Fraser, from Carluke Golf Club, was delighted with the club’s fundraising efforts.

He said: “The seniors always enjoy the dinner and any money that is left over always goes to that year’s chosen charity.

“Billy Wright always does a tremendous job in organising the quiz night and everyone enjoys themselves on that occasion.

“We have been giving donations like this to charities for more than 10 years now.

“It’s great that we can give such much to these charities.”
