Carnwath Golf Club gents receive Division Four Trophy

This was Carnwath gents’ second league success in as many years, following on from their Division 5 title triumph in 2011.

The players’ outstanding efforts have been praised by 2012 Carnwath Golf Club gents captain David Young.

“The boys were all delighted to be league champions again,” said lorry driver David, of Carstairs Junction.

“It was a really good bunch of guys and the team spirit they had throughout the competition was unbelievable.”

David revealed that the Carnwath players had illustrated their determination to succeed by romping home 8-2 in their final league fixture at home to title rivals Wishaw last August.
