Clydesdale bowlers win national titles at Ayr
IN a remarkable Clydesdale double, Blackwood Bowling Club gents champ Iain McLean and Lanark Thistle BC ladies champ Eileen McEwan have both become national title winners.
Ayr Northfield was the venue as the pair won five finals matches in their individual competitions to land the respective Gents Singles and Ladies Singles crowns at this month’s prestigious Bowls Scotland Championships.
Iain (31), of Lesmahagow, is a 10-time Blackwood Bowling Club gents champion who also won the Bowls Scotland title in 2013.
