Following a strong 2013 season in the BIG Profile Sports2000 championship where Craig finished first in class and second overall, the final decision has been made to race this season in the Excool Open Sporstcars Series (OSS).

A suitable Ligier JS49 race car has been sourced and is being prepared for the initial mid-April event to be staged at the Snetterton 300 circuit in Norfolk. Craig is definitely looking forward to the challenge.

The car is from the famous Scottish race team IF Motorsport owned by ex-professional driver Bryce Wilson who is also very excited about trying to help Craig compete strongly, having monitored his progress to date. The OSS championship has four events per season at this time.

The advantage is that there are two sessions of qualifying and three races over each of the championship weekends which will be held at Snetterton, Brands Hatch, Donington Park and Silverstone. This made the decision a bit easier as the travelling from central Scotland is very demanding for all concerned; less travelling and more racing sounds good!

There are some great drivers in the Excool OSS championship with great race cars from manufacturers like Juno, Jade, Chiron and Radical, also some similar Ligier cars compete.

Testing in the new car took place at Oulton Park on Friday 28th March when Craig had a chance to put the car through its paces before the initial Easter weekend event.
