Crossford point-to-point racing is huge success
Around 5000 spectators enjoyed glorious spring sunshine for hard fought three-mile races over fences which included a victory treble for Fife jockey Kit Alexander.
Kit’s highlight came when he landed the 2.30pm Bonhams Men’s Open Race on Rossini’s Dacer, beating Little Fritz ridden by Fraser Campbell into second place.
Overton Farm owner and event organiser Willie Young said: “Kit produced some very good performances, which was indicative of a day in which the weather was great and everything went well.
“There were no serious injuries to horses or jockeys and the organisation done by our committee was flawless.”
