The event, held at St Maurice’s High School, allowed the club to come together to celebrate its success and new members to find out more about the Chiefs family.

The club, which has over 100 members and 10 league teams, has recently received over £27,000 in funding from the National Lottery through Awards for All and Young Start Fund.

This money will be used to help develop their girls’ teams, advertise in the local community and provide training opportunities for their young volunteers.

They have sessions throughout Cumbernauld and Chryston for boys and girls aged from seven up all the way to senior level.

On the day the Chiefs included lots of basketball activities, a quiz, team photos and a club video montage featuring players, coaches and volunteers.

They also used the day to raise funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity, selling lots of lovely home baking.
