The tie has suffered at the hands of the winter weather and was postponed four times before the sides met on February 14.

That game finished in a 1-1 draw and the sides were due face each other in a replay at Guys Meadow, Cumbernauld, at the weekend - but once agian the weather took its toll and the match was called off.

Fingers are being tightly crossed that the replay will go ahead this weekend at Guy’s Meadow, but unlike their last encounter, if it is another draw it will go to a penalty shoot out.

Rob Roy manager Stewart Maxwell said: “It will be great to get a result. We still have 13 games left to play in the league and there is the potential if we get through to the next round of the cup to have 17 or 18 games to play as we head into March.”

Maxwell could potentially see the squad playing on a Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, just to clear the backlog.

Looking ahead to the cup replay, the Rabs boss said: “Both teams just want to get on and play now. There is only so much training you can do.”

Rabs’ new signing, midfielder Thomas Collins, will hopefully be in action. He signed from Queen’s Park last week.
