Elvanfoot speedway kid joins Castleford Castles
HURTLING a 125cc motorbike without brakes around corners on a dirt track at 40mph is not everyone’s idea of a good time.
But that’s exactly the challenge which Elvanfoot teenager Greg Mackie, of Dumfries Road, regularly faces on the speedway circuit; his fine recent performances have just earned him a move to English outfit Castleford Castles.
Greg’s proud dad Colin said: “Greg only started riding competitively last season, so being snapped up by such a great team is a major achievement for him and will only help him improve.”
