first blood goes to ‘lok

Newly-promoted Pollok kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 victory over Vale of Clyde at the Vale’s Fullarton Park.

‘Lok handed starts to all five of their summer signings thus far, Mark Sideserf from Irvine Meadow XI, Ross McCabe from Petershill, Chris Walker from Shotts Bon Accord, Colin Williamson from Cumnock, and Derek Hepburn from Vale of Clyde.

New boy Williamson opened the scoring in the 17th minute, lifting the ball over the advancing Jon Connolly.

The second was created by Hepburn, who cut the ball across goal for Kieran McAleenan to tap in.

‘Lok’s pre-season continues on Saturday when Newtongrange Star visit Newlandsfield Park.

Kick off for this game will be at 2pm.
