Shettleston first-footed Pollok but left Newlandsfield empty handed, writes Mark Donnelly.

Pollok took a ninth minute lead when Jordan Longmuir’s goal-kick allowed Allan MacKenzie in behind the defence to execute an exquisite lob, leaving visiting goalkeeper Bryn Alliwell stranded.

Parity was restored in the 19th minute when Scott Anson beat the offside trap to finish. Shettleston were reduced to ten men in the 63rd minute allowing the visitors to pull a goal back in the 80th minute, Marshall’s header leaving Longmuir rooted to the spot.

This Saturday, Pollok make the short trip to Neilston on league duty.
