Five star display by Carluke High badminton players
CARLUKE High School pupils quite literally gave a five star display at the Lanarkshire Secondary Schools’ Badminton Championships.
Alistair Orr, Jordan Philip, Abby McCallum, Ruth Cunningham and Rebecca Dobbin won five medals between them at Ravenscraig sports facility in Motherwell. And Alistair and Jordan won the under-19 boys doubles tournament for the fifth year in a row.
Carluke High head teacher Andy Smith said: “It is a fantastic achievement to have so many medallists. Only one other school had more than five finalists.”
