Celtic star subject of 'towing a caravan' jibe vs Dundee as pundit delivers brutal live reaction
The Celtic player was targeted by a pundit during the course of action against Dundee.
One Celtic player was hit with a merciless assessment by one pundit as his race was ran against Dundee on Sunday.
It was a big day for Martin O’Neill’s side who moved within striking distance of league leaders Hearts after their 2-2 draw with Livingston, courtesy of their 2-1 success at Dens Park. Kelechi Iheanacho struck a winner late in the second half after Yang’s opener was cancelled out by a Simon Murray penalty.
Strength in depth is something Celtic have compared to provincial clubs and they were able to turn there on Sunday for the likes of Iheanacho, McCowan and James Forrest. One player who made way is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who’s time in Glasgow so far has had mix reviews, as the former Arsenal and Liverpool man gets up to speed after spending most of this season as a free agent following time at Besiktas.
How did Alex Oxlade Chamberlain get on for Celtic vs Dundee?
That mattered little to Alex Rae as the game played out in Tayside while he was on Clyde 1 duty as he thought the midfielder still looked off the pace. As a double change seeing McCowan replace the midfielder was made, Partick Thistle assistant manager and former Rangers midfielder Rae said: “He was towing a caravan in the middle of the park there, the Ox.
“He was struggling and getting his pocket picked on a regular basis. So there is a freshness now about what Celtic are trying to do. He would have been my other shout (Reo Hatate) other than McCowan but they have chosen to go with Luke McCowan.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain discussed his Celtic tenure so far during the international break, including a tough Old Firm initiation in March’s draw at Ibrox versus Rangers. He said: “I think just being back in the country and in this culture. Obviously I went to Turkey for a couple of years and it's a different culture out there. The way that they see the game and, you know, just being in a dressing room with not many English or no English lads really.

“It's different. So I think just coming back into a good group of lads that are like-minded and share similar experiences. It's really good and I'm lucky enough to be at another club that's massive and is really competitive and there's pressure and expectation and all of those things. So, it's just exciting, isn't it?
“And it is a big, big club. I don't know if we've played them, we've had a few scraps of them. It's just different. I can't explain exactly why, it's just different. I think I spoke to Andy Robertson after the first game and I didn't have a good game. I came off at half-time and I said to Robbo, I said, no, that wasn't pretty.
“He said, I told you, it's not football. That game is not pretty. It's a war and you find a way to win. Like, even off the pitch in the tunnel, like the rivalry between staff and players. You're either one or the other. There's no sitting on the fence up there. You're on Rangers or Celtic and that's it.”
