Celtic, West Ham and Southampton are all on their cases.

Celtic and West Ham are set to go at it in search of securing a double swoop for a pairing at Airdrie.

Twins Cole and Dylan Williams have shone for the Diamonds but Alan Nixon reports both “can quit the Diamonds, where they are on short-term agreements.” The duo are yet to appear for the first-team but their talent in the youth ranks has attracted attention.

It is claimed that the Premiership champions are ‘keen’ on the pair who ‘starred at youth level against Celtic’ while West Ham are looking to beat them in a race to their signatures. Southampton are another side said to hold interest, with both EPL clubs wanting to ‘snatch them from under Celtic's nose.’

More English interest was speculated in the last week but it’s Celtic, West Ham and Southampton who are mentioned here. Airdrie are also in a difficult position in the Scottish Championship, a 1-0 defeat to Dunfermline on Saturday leaving them adrift at the bottom of the table.

As of late, Celtic have been criticised alongside other Scottish clubs for not giving Scottish players under the age of 21 enough of a chance. Nobody in that bracket has featured for Brendan Rodgers’ first team this season, and the same can be said across the city at Rangers.

Rocco Vata left in the summer to go to Watford after being touted as a bright academy light. Daniel Kelly did debut under Rodgers last campaign but the midfielder opted to go to Millwall instead of staying at Celtic. The Hoops return to action next Saturday in the Premiership, away to Hearts.
