City suffer first defeat in six years to Spartans
Glasgow City have suffered their first competitive league defeat in almost six years.
By the narrowest of margins a second-half strike by Spartans’ Katie Reilly was enough to win them the match 1-0.
It was an inauspicious start for on-loan striker Morgan Marlborough from FC Kansas City in the US.
Marlborough did, however, get a shot off at goal, which was saved.
The defeat comes as City were forced to make two substitutions when Eilish McSorley and Fiona Brown were injured.
