Cumbernauld have been given a home tie against fellow Super League First Division side Kilwinning Rangers.

Kilwinning are unbeaten in 12 league and cup games since losing to Kilsyth in September and were 3-0 winners over United when the sides met at Kilwinning in December. Kilsyth face an even tougher match on paper away to Super League Premier side Beith.

Rangers, who have also been drawn away to Clydebank in the first round of the Central League Cup, have resigned defender Paul Doyle, utility player Danny O’Neill and winger Gary Livingstone, all former players.

Both Kilsyth and Cumbernauld had their games, at home to Rutherglen Glencairn and Ardrossan Winton Rovers respectively, called off last Saturday. Both are away in Ayrshire this Saturday with Cumbernauld at Maybole and Kilsyth travelling to face leaders Largs Thistle.

The supporters’ bus for Cumbernauld United fans will leave Guy’s Meadow at 11.25am and the town centre at 11.30.
