Cumbernauld United come out on top

United got their first pre-season victory against Perth side Kinnoull at Guy’s Meadow on Saturday.

The East Region outfit – winners of their league last season – provided stern opposition for the locals and The players on both sides were providing great entertainment for the spectators despite the heat.

It was a good workout for United who, however, should have won by a bigger margin after having enjoyed most of the pressure throughout the entertaining match.
