Finishing all that's missing

The Bully Wee came off after their 1-1 draw with Stirling Albion to discover Forfar had been held by the same score at home to lowly Edinburgh City.

But Ferguson was happy with the way his side played - and believed all that was lacking was the finishing touch.

He said: “I thought we should have come away with three points but I can’t go in and criticise them.

“Some of the stuff was good today. I keep saying to them their effort and commitment is there and on another day we could have come away winning by a couple of goals.

“But I said to them not to get disappointed because they played well; the only thing I would maybe have criticism with would be that we should have maybe scored a couple more goals.

But that’s football and I’ll just make sure next week that we finish those chances.”

The Clyde boss admitted the players were frustrated to discover they had missed the chance to get closer to Forfar.

He said: “They know that themselves. You obviously hear the results coming in which doesn’t really help.

“But there’s a long way to go and I’m happy the way things are going.

“I can’t complain the way we are playing, I can’t complain the way the guys go out there on a Tuesday night, or a Wednesday night or a Saturday. They give me everything and that’s all I can ask for.”
