Fixtures piling up as Cumbernauld and Kilsyth play catch up

Junior sides Cumbernauld United and Kilsyth Rangers face a hectic schedule over the next few weeks as they attempt to clear their fixture backlog.

Postponements on an almost weekly basis throughout the winter mean that as the end of the season approaches Cumbernauld United have nine Super League First Division fixtures still to play while Kilsyth Rangers have 10 games to cram in.

Cumbernauld kick off a spell of three games in five days when they entertain Greenock at Guy’s Meadow on Saturday, followed by matches with Shotts Bon Accord away on Monday and Blantyre Vics at home on Wednesday.

Kilsyth face Greenock at Duncansfield tonight (Wednesday), Rutherglen Glencairn at home on Saturday and Bellshill Athletic away next Wednesday.

Both sides are still in the Central League Cup second round.
