1FC Abronhill AFC played their first home game in Abronhill since being established in 2013 as part of the national lotteries awards for all Scotland Big lottery fund. The amateur side as part of The Abronhill walk to kick project were looking for their first league win of the season against Forth Thistle in the Stirling and District third division.

Abronhill dominated the play in the first half and went close to opening the scoring with a stunning left foot volley by Paul Flaherty that just missed the Forth goalkeepers right hand post.

Despite the early dominance Forth scored against the run of play on the counter attack in the 25th minute with a well placed finish past the Abronhill goalkeeper Stuart McCallum.

Abronhill however fought back with a quick equalizer through top goalscorer Kevin Docherty who with his back to goal turned the Forth defender and finished with a low drive in off the Forth goalkeepers left hand post.
