The 20-year-old central defender joined the Bully Wee on loan in August and made 15 appearances, scoring once in a 3-1 win over Airdrie in December.

He was recalled by Hearts in January following the appointment of Daniel Stendel as manager before being loaned out again, this time to League Two side Brechin City for whom he made four appearances.

However he was among 12 players freed by the Edinburgh club this week, along with their former managerial team of Craig Levein and Austin McPhee.
