'I hope he keeps scoring goals for fun' - Carluke Rovers boss Mark Weir on new signing Steven Frame

Ex-Rovers ace Frame was frozen out under the previous Rovers management team but then enjoyed a prolific spell at Lanarkshire amateur side Wishaw Wycombe Wanderers.
“Steven is an out and out striker and I’m delighted to get him on board,” Weir, an ex-team-mate, told the Carluke and Lanark Gazette.

"I definitely think Steven is a better player now than when he left Rovers.
"He’s improved his physique, work-rate, just his general football play is better.”
Weir secured Frame’s acquisition during a non contract training session on Saturday, after which the news emerged that exisiting squad men Jamie Dickson, Mark O’Reilly, club captain Mark Cassidy, Dillan Duddy, Greg Kane and James Frame had all put pen to paper for the 2021-22 season.

"I also hope for another new signing on Thursday,” Weir said. “An ex-team-mate, a striker, who was also ex-Lanark United.
"I am confident of getting it over the line. I have been in contact with this player for a couple of months now.
"A new manager has come in at Lanark and things change so hopefully I can get him on board.
"Striker has been the main area myself and Kenny (assistant boss Neill) want to improve.”
