A prolific season with Kilsyth Rangers, where he bagged over 40 goals, then earned him a move to Queen’s Park where he continued to find the net, hitting 17 goals last season.

Livingston signed him in July after a successful trial and he has made four substitute appearances for them this season, but has now gone to Firhill on loan to strengthen Ian McCall’s attacking options as he plots a quickfire return to the Championship after last season’s relegation.

Thistle manager Ian McCall told the club website: "We are delighted to secure Salim for this coming season.

"There were a number of clubs interested in Salim and I’m really pleased he chose to come to Thistle. He is a goalscorer and it says a lot about the boy that 18 months ago he was playing junior football. I hope he really enjoys his time with us.”
