Failed Rangers transfer exit phone call revealed as boss admits Ibrox vow behind ace's decision
Ianis Hagi has reportedly stated that he wants to prove he’s deserving of another shot at Rangers.
The Romanian playmaker is out in the cild at Ibrox after spending last season in La Liga with Alaves. A move seemed likely in the summer transfer window but nothing was agreed and now he is facing an uncertain first half of the season, with matches in the ‘B’ team his only sign of action so far.

Hide AdHagi has been with Rangers since 2020 after an initial loan move from Genk but now he looks unlikely to play many more senior mintues in blue. One club who did want him in their ranks is Rapid Bucharest in his homeland of Romania.
Marius Sumudica, the club’s manager, has opened up on a call he had with Hagi about his future. He claims that the playmaker has told him he wants to fight for his place at Rangers.
Sumudica told Pro Sport (via Rangers News) when asked why a public pursuit of Hagi by Rapid ended in failure: “I spoke with him. He called me. I have a good relationship with him.
“He told me that his option was to stay abroad. He wants to fight. He has a great personality, he will surely fight to the last drop of sweat to prove that he deserves to play there (at Rangers).
“There is little to no chance of him coming. I don’t know what will happen next. It is very difficult for him to return to the domestic league.”
