Former Rangers star lands West Ham United transfer as he gets set for another Premier League shot

A former Rangers goalkeeper looks to have found a new club after resisting a deal with his old one.
Wes Foderingham found himself out of contract with Sheffield United this summer after four years and 102 league appearances, and the Blades did move to keep him.

Blades boss Chris Wilder said back in late January: “That's been parked now, I should imagine. I don't know what his conversations with the club were, in absolute detail; just that a contract was offered and it was rejected. That was a conversation between the club and Wes.
"I talked about us needing to go out and get a goalkeeper who was our own, which was important. I talked to Wes on Friday. I think we came to the agreement that he wouldn't be a No.2, either here at this level or in the Championship. So I think that will just work its way out in time and we'll see what happens before the deadline. Wes will do what he needs to do before the end of the season."
Foderingham was set for free agency this summer, but he has already found a new job, and in the Premier League, no less. The goalkeeper who spent five years with Rangers from 2015, racking up more than 100 league outings, is heading to West Ham United.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that the papers have been signed and that Foderingham will become a West Ham player when his Blades contract expires at the end of this month. The 33-year-old will almost certainly play a back-up role at the London Stadium, with West Ham already having Lukasz Fabianski and Alphonse Areola at their disposal. Though, there could yet be further changes to the West Ham squad under new boss Julen Lopetegui, who takes over from David Moyes.
