What have both sides said ahead of Celtic vs Rangers?

Hoops boss Martin O’Neill said: “We're ready to go. We really are. We’ll get prepared for the game. It was a difficult game last Sunday and difficult, obviously, last night, but we're raring to go. It's a big game whether it's played in September or March time. It's a really big game, and we need to be up for it. Just analysing Thursday night's game, we had all the possession for 10 or 15 minutes.

“We created a number of great chances and had we taken one of those and got ourselves into the lead, then I think confidence would have been restored. But we're far from rock bottom. We're still in the lead in the league and if we could win this, we can extend the lead.”

Rangers manager Derek McInnes commented: "There's a positivity and feel-good factor among the fanbase and certainly among everyone within the club. It was an important win for us, and I think it was pleasing in the manner that we won. I think we're getting a semblance of consistency and good performance levels. We managed to score at good times, which we haven't been doing even though we've been getting wins. It was a cup tie last week, and it was just about getting through.

“It's been a good week, and we've been pleased with the preparation, and we're going to require a big performance again on Sunday. You don't win at Parkhead unless everyone plays well, so we need to bring something similar and look for those improvements again." We needed a big performance, and we got exactly that. I feel we're going to require that again. The fact that we got through, and we have a semi-final tucked away, is great, but we need to get back on the horse and get ready to deal with league business.”
