Ibrox star attracts loan interest from 'several clubs' as Rangers face January transfer conundrum
Winger was farmed out last season during the winter
Rangers winger Findlay Curtis is reportedly attracting loan interest from ‘several clubs’ with a view to sign him on a short-term deal in the January transfer window.
The 20-year old was farmed out to Kilmarnock for the second half of last season and enjoyed a successful spell at Rugby Park. However, since returning to Ibrox, under manager Derek McInnes he’s found himself in and out of the starting XI, with the majority of his 15 appearances coming from the bench.
While McInnes maintains the Scotland international still plays a key role in the team, it’s imperative for Curtis at his young age to acquire first team minutes as much as possible. Transfer expert Pete O’Rourke claims loan interest has arisen from Scotland and England for the winger, meaning Rangers must now make a decision on his future in the coming months.

Curtis attracts loan interest from ‘several clubs’
He claimed via Football Insider: “Rangers winger Findlay Curtis is attracting loan interest from a wide range of clubs ahead of the January transfer window. The young wideman is on the radar of several clubs elsewhere in the Scottish Premiership, while teams in England are also keen to strike a deal.”
Curtis, who joined Rangers at the age of six, made his first team debut in January 2025. With his Killie loan spell added to the mix, he’s now well aware of the trials and tribulations of the Scottish Premiership. However, if he was farmed out south of the border, it would represent a completely different challenge.
At Ibrox, the winger has fallen victim to the success of summer signing Kim Min-su and Stuttgart loanee Badredine Bouanani, in terms of the selection pecking order. However, speaking ahead of Rangers’ weekend clash at St Mirren, the manager voiced his admiration for the player, who he is hoping stays at Ibrox for a long time despite his contract running out in the summer.

Why does McInnes want Curtis to stay at Ibrox long term?
The manager said: “For any player, whether it's homegrown or not, they've got to accept that at Rangers, there should be competition for places. You don't waste your minutes. If you're in a team, do your best to stay in the team. Findlay has contributed really well for us, really strongly.
“He is a good trainer. He's a brilliant kid. He knows how much we want him to be here longer term. The club have made that clear to him as well. Findlay's telling me that he wants to be here. He wants to win trophies here. This is his club. So he, I mean, he can speak for himself, but he knows what we think about him.
“I'm not here to say to him ‘be patient’ because I want him to be in a hurry to get more starts. But I believe that he is well on his way to being a good Rangers player going forward. Hopefully this season he can get the minutes that he's happy with. But we're certainly happy with a lot of his contributions.”
